Butterfly Movie Story
Geetha (Anupama Parameswaran), who is a Chartered Accountant, lives with her sister Vyjanayanthi (Bhumika Chawla) in Hyderabad. Vyjayanthi is a prominent criminal lawyer and raises children by herself as she has issues with her husband. One fine day, she leaves for Delhi for important work and asks Geeta to take care of the children. Suddenly the kid missing shocks Geetha. She takes the help of her boyfriend Viswa (Nihal Kodhaty) to find the kids. Where did the kids go? Were Geetha and Viswa find them safely? forms the base plot of the Butterfly movie.

- Anupama Parameswaran carried the entire movie on her shoulders and did a phenomenal job. Her transformation during the climax episode is mesmerizing
- The mid portions and a few subsequent scenes raise curiosity
- The background score enhances the impact of a few sequences
- The small twists towards the end are conceived nicely

- The screenplay lacks any punch or thrill and the storyline is not novel
- After some point, the movie slips down and gets stuck in a loop
- It is not hard to guess the kidnapper, hence more care was required at this point

The background music by Arviz & Gideon Katta was impressive and the Sameer Reddy’s cinematography was fair. The editing team should have chopped off some repeated scenes. Director Satish Babu did a below-par job with this movie. The screenplay is bland and the narrative should have been filled with more exciting scenes.
