Advantages and Disadvantages of the Kia Carens– Kia has launched the Carens, a new seven-seater vehicle. Almost everything about this automobile has been known, except the pricing.
Advantages of Kia Carens
1. Safety
2. Attractive and model design
3. Features Loaded Interior
4. Reliable Engine
Safety
The first point is better security. The Kia Carens will be one of India’s safest vehicles. After the low crash test rating of the Kia Seltos and two pieces in the accident, Kia earned a negative reputation. However, the Kia Carens now come standard with six airbags in the basic model. Many additional safety features, such as ABS, EBD, Electronic Stability Control, All Wheel Disc Brake, and comparable safety features, will be available right out of the box on the basic model.
Attractive and model design
The attractive and modal design is the second point. The Kia Carens look is really attractive, and the model has been kept, which is a positive. Looking at the Alcazar, it appears that the Creta has been extended, whereas looking at the Tata Safari, it appears that the Harrier has been extended. The Kia Carens are based on the Seltos platform, however, it does not similar to the Seltos in any way. Overall, the design is modern and new.
Features Loaded Interior
The third highlight is the inside, which is jam-packed with features. The Kia Carens will be a vehicle with a lot of features. More premium options will be offered, including heated seats, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, an air purifier, and Bose speakers. Overall, the inside of the Kia Carens appears to be highly luxurious and attractive.
Reliable Engine
The fourth advantage is the engine’s dependability. The Kia Carens will be available with a 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine that produces 140 PS and 242 Nm of torque, as well as a diesel engine. A 1.5-liter diesel engine with 115 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque will also be offered. Both of these engines have been seen in Creta and Seltos. There are four beneficial aspects to this.
Disadvantages of Kia Carens
1. Missing Features
2. less powerful diesel engine
Missing Features
The first drawback is the lack of features. The Kia Carens are lacking in a few key characteristics seen in its competitors. The Alcazar, for example, has a panoramic sunroof and a 360-degree parking camera. Apart from that, the Kia Carens have 16-inch alloy wheels, whilst the rest of the competition has 18-inch alloy wheels.
less powerful diesel engine
The diesel engine is significantly less powerful, which is the second disadvantage. Kia Carens’ diesel engine produces only 115 horsepower. The XUV700 and Tata Safari, two Kia Carens competitors, both have a more powerful diesel engine. So those were the two drawbacks of the Kia Carens.
- Despite the 1st-row seat travel being restricted, 2nd-row legroom is average.
- Although adequate, the diesel’s 113 BHP and 250 Nm are the lowest in the segment.
- The 7-speed DCT’s reliability in a bigger vehicle is an issue.
- The safety rating is unknown. The Seltos almost missed out on a 3-star Global NCAP rating!
- Certain amenities are missing in comparison to the Alcazar – There is no panoramic sunroof, no 360-degree camera, and no complete virtual dials.
