West Bengal Finance Minister has accused thousands of entrepreneurs of leaving the country during the BJP rule led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During Prime Minister Modi’s tenure from 2014 to 2020, 35,000 entrepreneurs left the country.
West Bengal Finance Minister Amit Mitra, on his Twitter page, has strongly criticized the Modi-led government.
Deportation from India
According to a Twitter post, 35,000 high net worth Indian entrepreneurs left India during the Modi-led regime between 2014 and 2020. These include Indians living abroad and traders who have come from abroad to trade.
Finance Minister Sadal
India is the number one destination in the world. Why? Is it a state of fear? Mitra has posted a scathing post on his Twitter page urging Prime Minister Modi to file a white paper in the state parliament on the issue.
Morgan Stanley Report
According to Morgan Stanley, 23,000 high net worth entrepreneurs left the country between 2014 and 2018. Similarly, according to the Asian Bank of Asia, 7,000 people left India in 2019. According to the same GWM report, 5,000 entrepreneurs will leave India by 2020.
Why not condemn
Recall Pius Goyal’s 19-minute speech against Indian business. The business practices of Indian industry are against the interest of the country. This is anti-national. He said the fear in his mind was motivating entrepreneurs to leave the country. Mitra has questioned why Prime Minister Modi did not condemn Goyal for saying this

Extreme stress
It is in the midst of such rules that retired officers and former civil servants are commended globally for writing their memoirs about various aspects of the work they have done during their working years and for commenting on current details using domain knowledge. The letter also said that the government was “deeply disturbed” by the government’s new rules.
