Redmi Note 12 Pro Launch: Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has confirmed the Redmi Note 12 Pro launch in India on January 5, 2024. The smartphone will debut along with the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus which is confirmed to have a 200-mp camera. The Redmi Note 12 Pro will come with OIS (optical image stabilization)-enabled primary camera to capture stable videos and still photos.
Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 12 Pro series on October 28 in China.
If speculation is accurate, we can expect the Redmi Note 12 Pro for the Indian smartphone market to feature a large 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2400×1080 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the Redmi Note 12 may feature a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset paired with up to 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. The device may also carry a 5,000mAh battery with 67W charging, while Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus may offer 200W fast charging.
The major difference between the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Pro Plus models would be the camera. The Redmi Note 12 Pro may feature a 50mp primary camera with OIS, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and an 8 mp ultra-wide angle camera. Other key features may include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
There are no details about the Indian price available yet, though the phone debuted in China starting at CNY 1699 for the 6GB RAM + 128 GB storage model and CNY 2,199 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage.
