Work From Home till December 2024 ..?!
Most IT workers across India are currently working from home to escape the corona infection.
But during the same period many IT companies are partially bringing their employees to the office so that many who went with their family to their hometown are now returning to the big cities i.e. work place.
In this situation, a special message has been released only for the Bangalore IT staff.
Government of Karnataka
The Government of Karnataka is currently undertaking several construction projects to ease traffic congestion in Bangalore. In particular, it is rapidly implementing a project to connect important parts of Bangalore such as Silk Board, Electronic City, KR Puram and Banasangari by Metro Rail.
Metro rail line
The Government of Karnataka has requested BMRCL to start work from Home by December 2024 on all IT companies in the Outer Ring Road area as construction work on the Metro Rail Line from Silk Board to KR Puram is currently underway and will take place over the next 1.5 to 2 years.
WFH until December 2024
Additional Chief Secretary of the State of Karnataka and Minister of Electronics and IT said that IT companies in the ORR area should provide Work From Home to their employees by December 2024 as the Metro Rail project from Silk Board to KR Puram is underway and it is very difficult to cope with the traffic congestion and carry out construction work. Ramana Reddy has made the request.
Outer Ring Road area
This Outer Ring Road area is home to a number of small IT companies and tech parks. Thus there will be traffic congestion on the road throughout the day. Despite having 6-lane roads and service roads in the area, traffic congestion has not abated.
Silk Board First Electronic City
During this corona period metro construction works took place without any problem in other places without traffic congestion due to IT staff working from home. In particular, metro rail projects from Silk Board to Electronic City are being built very fast.
Important Suggestions
But Minister Ramana Reddy has advised IT employees not only to work from home till December 2024, but also to come to the company through bus services provided by BMTC or the company, as there is now exclusive road facility for buses in the area. This allows IT employees to move to the office faster.
Nasscom system
The recommendations have been submitted to Nasscom, the leading consortium of IT companies on behalf of the Government of Karnataka, and have been shared among IT companies. A metro rail project is currently under construction in Bangalore at a distance of about 19 km. These works are expected to take 1.5 to 2 years to complete.
IT and Tech Service Companies
The Outer Ring Road area alone has about 10 tech parks, and more than 700 companies. Traffic is generated in the Outer Ring Road area from 7.30 am to 10.30 pm by the employees of these companies. The region is dominated by IT and tech service companies.
Recommended only
The government has also explained that the Work From Home project till December 2024 is being presented only as a recommendation without any order.
