NIRF Rankings 2024 Top Gainers & Losers: National Institutional Ranking Framework, NIRF Rankings 2024 have been announced by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at 12.00 pm, in a live webcast. The complete list for all categories can be check at nirfindia.org.
The topmost colleges like the Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Madras, and Miranda House have retained their top positions. Some institutions have experienced a shift in this year’s ranks. The analysis of NIRF Rankings 2024 Top Gainers and Losers shows the biggest surprise for Hindu College, Delhi. It has secured the ninth position this year which has the third rank in 2020. NIT Surathkal has listed the top 10 Engineering colleges list of the country in 2024. In 2020, IIT Indore was in this position.
NIRF Rankings 2024 Top Gainers & Losers:
- Many institutes such as IIT Madras, AIIMS Delhi, Miranda House, and IISC Bengaluru have managed similar ranks like 2020 in their respective categories.
- This year, a new category has been added, that is Top Research Insitute of the country and in this IISC Bengaluru won rank 1
Overall Category
- In this category, IIT Madras continues to be the rank 1 holder, followed by IISC Bengaluru at 2nd rank
- The Top 10 names in this category are the same as the ones in 2020, with only a few interchanging ranks
- This time, IIT Bombay secured rank 3 and IIT Delhi slipped to the fourth rank. In the year 2020, IIT Delhi was in the third rank
Top Universities & Colleges
- In the top universities, IISc Bengaluru got Rank 1 same as last year and the list remains unchanged expect one university
- Aligarh Muslim University is in the Top 10 list, which is at 17th rank in last year.
- Hindu college has slipped to Rak 9 from Rank 3
- Shri Ram College of Commerce ranked 12 in 2020 has also managed to enter the Top 10 colleges list
Engineering Category
Here are not many changes in terms of the top nine colleges. The change can be sen at rank 10 with NIT Surathkal replacing IIT Indore from 2020.
Architecture Category – NIRF Rankings 2024
- IIT Roorkee has taken the IIT Kharagpur place and became the Top Architecture College of the country. Now, IIT Kharagpur holds rank 3
Medical, Dental & Pharmacy Category
- The top 5 medical colleges remain unchanged with AIIMS Delhi being a first rank holder
- In the Top 5 Pharmacy colleges, BiTS Pilani secured Rank 3 in the list
- In the Dental category, the Manipal College of Dental Sciences has replaced the Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences and become the Top Dental College in the country
Management & Law
There are no major changes in the Top institutes of Management and law. NLSU Bengaluru and IIM Ahmedabad are again the top institutes of law and management in the country
