The TVS Raider has an LCD instrument cluster with important readouts such as speed, trip meter, gear-shift indication, tachometer, fuel economy, top and average speed, helmet indicator, odometer, fuel gauge, and so on. It is the first bike in the segment to provide two riding modes, Eco and Power, which can provide up to 10% greater power and 3% more fuel economy, depending on the mode selected. In addition to these features, the Raider incorporates a side-stand engine cutoff that stops the bike from starting until the side stand is entirely released.
The Raider also comes in a SmartXconnect model, which includes a five-inch TFT instrument console with SmartXconnect smartphone connectivity. This system includes features such as call and message notifications, navigation, digital document display, day and night mode, and a voice assistant.
The TVS Raider has a 124.8 cc engine that produces 11 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 11 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. This engine is mated to a five-speed transmission and has a claimed fuel economy of 67 km/l. TVS says that the Raider has the best acceleration and torque in the segment. The commuter bike employs the company’s IntelliGO technology, which employs an integrated starter generator for a quiet start. This feature also switches off the engine while the bike is idle and can be started with a blip of the throttle.
The Raider’s suspension is handled by 30 mm telescopic forks with 120 mm wheel travel, a five-step adjustable gas-charged mono-shock, and a single-sided swingarm. The braking system, on the other hand, is comprised of a 240 mm front petal disc brake and a 130 mm rear drum brake with synchronized braking.
