In line with his approach to reclaim the lost Hindu glory of religious places in Uttar Pradesh (UP), Yogi Adityanath, CM of UP, has reportedly made mega plans to pull up a show in Kashi like Deeptsav in Ayodhya on Diwali.
Yogi said that the Deepostav in Ayodhya is an example of how pilgrimage places should be illuminated and there would be a similar celebration in Kashi on 19th November.
In Vrindavan CM Yogi inaugurated the ten-day Braj Raj Utsav and Hunar Haat yesterday. While addressing the gathering here, he made these announcements.
On 15th November, Yogi is set to perform a Pran Prathistha puja of Maa Annapurna idol in Kashi. This idol was stolen 100 years ago and is now returning home from Canada.
Awanish Kumar Awasthi, the state’s additional chief secretary has said that the idol will be installed on 15th November in the Kashi Viswanath Temple.
He said that it is a proud moment for every Indian, the idol of Maa Annapurna will be received with fanfare at four places including Kanpur, Ayodhya, Kasganj, and Kashi. People will be given an opportunity for the darshan.
Grand celebrations were held in Delhi to indicate the handing over ceremony of the 18-century idol to the Uttar Pradesh government by the Centre.
The Maa Annapurna idol was dressed in a red lehenga and a silver Chhatr was placed on her head. From Delhi to Kashi Vishwanath temple, it will cover an 800 km journey.
