The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) confiscated 42 lakh rupees worth of gold paste weighing over 900 grammes at the Imphal Airport in Arunachal Pradesh on Monday. In four packets, a total of 909.68 gm of yellow metal paste was discovered.
According to the statement, CISF Sub-Inspector B Dilli discovered metal in the passenger’s rectal cavity while frisking him.
The passenger, identified as Mohammed Shereef, is from Kozhikode in Kerala and was scheduled to fly from Imphal to Delhi on an Air India flight at 2:40 PM local time. Despite being removed from the Security Hold Area, authorities claim he “could not respond satisfactorily.”
According to officials, an X-ray of his lower body was taken in the Medical Examination Room.
He had metallic objects hidden inside his body, according to the evidence. According to the statement, the passenger admitted to the crime after some time.
Senior CISF and Customs officers were notified of the situation, and the passenger was turned over to them.
