On Tuesday around 7.30 p.m., a young woman and her boyfriend arrived in Chamundi Hills, a renowned tourist destination with a well-known temple on the outskirts of Mysore.
The couple spent the nighttime in the hospital with serious injuries. The young woman is said to have been gang-raped, and her companion was beaten.
Over 24 hours later, none of the men wanted in connection with the incident have been apprehended. According to the police, many teams are searching for the attackers.
When the couple refused to hand up money to a gang of men who followed them into the forest and surrounded them, the assault began.
When the pair refused, the group allegedly beat up the young man and raped the wife.
According to the authorities, the student’s companion watched in horror as she was raped, helpless to defend herself.
Around 1.30 a.m., they were brought to the hospital.
