A private investigator took a viral selfie with Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan after he was arrested in the Mumbai drugs-on-cruise case, a Maharashtra Minister claimed today. He questioned how two outsiders were allowed to work for the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
Nawab Malik, a senior NCP leader, claims that on Sunday, private investigator KP Gosavi was seen leading Aryan Khan to the NCB office while holding his hand.
Mr Malik claimed that footage from the raids showed BJP Vice President Manish Bhanushali. There is no evidence to back up his claim that the BJP was behind the “maligning of Maharashtra with a fake drug bust.”
“We contend that the BJP has slandered Maharashtra with baseless accusations for the past year. The profiles of Manish Bhanushali and Gosavi have been deactivated. Manish Bhanushali met with whom in Delhi and Gujarat? How does he appear when the NCB arrives to conduct a raid? Using the NCB, the BJP is spreading misinformation about Maharashtra.” Nawab Malik asserted the following:
Manish Bhanushali responded to the allegations by telling the news agency ANI, “Nawab Malik, the leader of the NCP, has falsely accused me. It has nothing to do with the BJP (the arrests). On October 1st, I learned about a drug party that was going to take place. This information was shared with me while aboard ship with NCB officials.”
Both men were described by the anti-drug agency as “independent witnesses” to the raids on their homes.
“These assertions are without foundation. As previously stated, the NCB’s procedure has been and will remain legal, professional, and unbiased.” Gyaneshwar Singh, an NCB officer, stated
On Monday, Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and six other people were arrested. The unidentified man’s selfie with Aryan Khan, in which he appeared to be alone and without legal counsel, confirmed it for the first time.
Instead of referring to Gosavi as one of their men, the anti-drug agency now refers to him as a “independent witness” who was present during the raids.
Mr Bhanushali can be seen holding Arbaaz Merchant’s hand as the convoy led by zonal NCB director Sameer Wankhede makes its way from the cruise ship to the anti-drugs office. Several people were arrested on suspicion of drug use on Saturday night and later released without charges.
The BJP avoided questions about Mr. Bhanushali’s role, blaming the Maharashtra government for engaging in partisanship.
According to BJP spokesperson Ram Kadam, there will be many issues to debate, but the issue of drugs, which affects future generations, should not be one of them.
Anti-drug officers allegedly seized 13 grammes of cocaine, 5 grammes of MD, 21 grammes of charas, and 22 pills of Ecstasy, as well as $1.33 lakh in cash, during raids on a cruise ship rave party on Saturday night.
Aryan Khan was discovered to be drug-free. Despite the fact that incriminating material was discovered in his WhatsApp chats, the agency informed the court.
