Scotland spinner Mark Watt says he has a few ideas for Indian captain Virat Kohli ahead of their Super 12 match against India.
Scotland has advanced to the last eight of the T20 World Cup after winning Group B. To begin their campaign, Papua New Guinea and Oman followed up on their rout of Bangladesh. Indian captain Virat Kohli “should be worried” ahead of their Group B clash on November 5, according to left-arm spinner Mark Watt, who has taken three wickets for an economy rate of 5.41 in three games.
“Virat is in for a treat because I have a lot of surprises in store for him. For the time being, I’m going to keep them a secret.” Watt was quoted by the ICC as saying
In Group 2 of the Super 12, Scotland will face Pakistan, New Zealand, Afghanistan, and Namibia in addition to India.
When asked about bowling against Kohli, Kane Williamson, and Babar Azam, the 25-year-old Scotland spinner said he wants to put himself up against the best in the world.
“I mean, isn’t that why we play the game in the first place, to compete against the best? You want to put your skills up against the best, and they unquestionably are. All of the men are ecstatic at the prospect of performing in front of a global audience. Just the opportunity to compete against the world’s best teams and players is reason enough to travel to Russia for the World Cup “Watt came to a decision.
