In this article, we are presenting the Bell Bottom Movie Review.
Review: In this movie, Akshay Kumar’s role is RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) undercover agent with the code name ‘Bell Bottom’. In the five years, the seventh hijacking incident happens and after the landing of a hijacked plane in Amritsar, Akshay comes in to save. The theme of the film is around his plans of a covert operation to save the 210 hostages and neutralize the hijackers. The more impactful thing is his operation is connected to personal tragedy.
This Ranjit Tiwari’s directional is based on the true events that are happened during Indira Gandhi’s time as the Prime Minister of India, in the late 70s and early 80s.
Akshay Kumar is fit, slim, and has a sharp Army-man personality and his entry as Bell Bottom attracts cheering and whistles. Bell Bottom has a sharp memory and is fluent in English, Hindi, German, and French. Even though, with the limited screen time, Vani Kapoor supports her role well. She is gorgeous in the role of Kumar’s wife. Huma Qureshi, Adil Hussain, and Lara Dutta are also played pivotal roles. Dutta’s makeover is pretty neat as former Prime Minister of India Gandhi.
Akshay is dependably strong and in full form. Dutta looks convincing in Indira Gandhi’s role. Written by Parveez Shaikh and Aseem Arora, the film manages to hold the attention for all 123 minutes. As there is a lot of back and forth in the storyline, you have to hold on to each minute of the action.
You had expected a lot of goosebumps moments in this genre of movies, but this movie is not like that. The film leaves so many unanswered questions like terrorists’ hijacking plans and the hostages’ agony. Coming to the climax, it is underwhelming and winds up abruptly.
Finally, the film does not fail to entertain, even though it has flaws.
