US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said he would get an opportunity during talks in Paris on Tuesday (October 5) to examine reestablishing French confidence in the United States following a line over another Indo-Pacific security agreement. Blinken is in Paris trying to remake political relations after the settlement between the United States, Australia, and Britain brought about Canberra abandoning a $40 billion guard contract for French submarines.
The French government has said it was betrayed by its nearby partners and that it would require some investment for the injuries to mend. France momentarily pulled out its envoy to the United States over the undertaking.
