Actor Bruce Willis has decided to quit acting after he was diagnosed with aphasia, a condition that causes a loss of ability to understand or express.
Bruce’s Daughter posted the news on Willis’s Instagram on Wednesday.
Bruce Willis is one of Hollywood’s most loving actors and his four-decade career has accumulated more than $5 billion at the box office globally. He is renowned for films like “Die Hard”, “Pulp Fiction”, “The Sixth Sense” and many more great films. Most recently, he was starred in the last month “Gasoline Alley” and “A Day to die” released in early March.
As per sources, he has already shot at least six more films due in 2024-2024.
What is Aphasia?
Aphasia is a condition that typically occurs after a stroke or head injury, also it can develop gradually due to a slow-growing brain tumor. It is treated by speech therapy and practicing non-verbal modes of communication.
It primarily affects the language of a person that comes from a sort of brain injury. The loss can take different forms as some people are unable to speak fluently whereas, others will find it difficult to express themselves as they may be able to speak fluently but the words don’t make sense and lastly, others are unable to comprehend what’s being said.
This disorder is quite something that affects over 2 million people in the United States. Also, it is more common than Parkinson’s disease, cerebral palsy, and muscular dystrophy.
