Stalin’s government 35 employment contracts .. How many jobs will be created in which area?
Chennai: During the Stalin-led DMK government held an investor meeting today, 35 MoUs were signed. The value of these projects is Rs 17,141 crore. The scheme is expected to provide employment to 55,054 people. At the event, Chief Minister M. Stalin laid the foundation stone for 9 projects with an investment of Rs. 4,250 crore, providing employment to 21,630 people.
Apart from this, the Chief Minister has launched investment schemes worth Rs 7,117 crore and five schemes to provide employment to 6,798 people.
Single window
Stalin also introduced the Single Window Portal 2.0, which fully digitizes more than 100 services in 24 sectors and helps existing and new investors.
5000 jobs in Chennai
Here are some of the key investment deals signed today: JSW Renew Energy Two Limited’s Rs 3,000 crore plant in Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Dindigul, and Tirupur will provide employment to 600 people. German company ZF Wapco is investing Rs 1,800 crore in the Chipkot complex in Oragadam, Chennai. Thus, 5000 jobs will be created.
TCS Company Expansion
Singapore-based Capital Land’s Rs 1,200 crore investment in Ambattur will create 100 jobs. Salivary Motors will invest Rs 1,000 crore in Coimbatore, creating 4,500 jobs. TCS Phase 3 expansion work is to be done at Siruseri IT Park with an investment of Rs.900 crore. Thus, 15,000 jobs will be created.
New investments
Tamil Nadu Industries Minister Thangam Tennarasu said, “We are working to increase business investment in Tamil Nadu. Many industrial companies have expressed interest in starting businesses in the state and are looking forward to major investments that will provide about 82,400 jobs.”
Southern Districts
Situation Today’s contracts will largely provide employment to Chennai and Coimbatore. The recurring population here, which is already swollen by overpopulation, will only add to the crisis for the people of the district. At the same time, it is noteworthy that the southern districts, which are suffering from a lack of industrial development, did not get a large number of jobs under today’s agreement.
