Announcement in Budget Statement

Civil Servants Organization Struggle
In August, the Tamil Nadu Pensioners’ and Tamil Nadu Revenue Officers’ Association and the Tamil Nadu Civil Servants’ Association staged a protest in the Virudhunagar area demanding the immediate implementation of an 11 per cent hike in internal rates.

The Tamil Nadu government had suspended the invoice from April 2020 due to the corona infection. In this context, the Central Government increased the internal rate of return for its employees by 28 per cent with effect from 1 July 2024. However, the Tamil Nadu government has stated in its budget statement that it will pay the increased rate from April 1, 2024.

G. Kannan, Secretary of State for Virudhunagar TNROA, said during the protest that the increased invoice should be paid from January 1. And he said in the struggle that we have already suffered a great deal of loss and can no longer accept the loss.

It is noteworthy that as government organizations staged protests in about 20 places in August, many demanded that the Tamil Nadu government raise the tariff to 28 percent, in line with the central government.
