Kannada Television actress Chethana Raj passed away at a private hospital in Bengaluru, Karnataka, where she was admitted on 16th May for fat-free surgery. The actress developed complications as fluid started to accumulate in her lungs. Her parents accused doctors of their negligence and have lodged a complaint.
Actress Chetana Raj’s Plastic Surgery Goes Wrong
Chethana Raj was known for her roles in daily soaps like Doresani and Geetha. On 16th May, she decided to get fat-free plastic surgery at Shetty’s Cosmetic Centre in Rajajinagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
However, the surgery didn’t go as planned. Anaesthetist Melvin, along with the doctors who performed the plastic surgery, brought her to Kaade Hospital at about 5.30 pm and threatened the doctors to treat her as a person who had suffered a cardiac arrest.
Doctors at Kaade Hospital started the CPR and despite trying for 45 minutes, Chethana could not be survived. ICU intensivist Dr Snadeep, in his complaint to the inspector of Basaveshwaranagar Police Station, had mentioned that Chethana was declared dead at 6.45 pm. He also mentioned that the doctors at Shetty’s Cosmetic Centre were aware that she had already died.

According to the reports, Chethana did not inform her parents about her plastic surgery. She visited the hospital with her friends. However, she developed complications which took her life.
