On Friday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a blistering attack on the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) and its ideological mentor RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh). He questioned the kind of Hinduism they were propagating.
Rahul Gandhi also admitted that the ideology of Congress has been overshadowed by the hateful ideology of Bharatiya Janat Party and RSS.
While speaking at the launch of Congress’s digital campaign ‘Jan Jagran Abhiyan’ via video conference, Rahul Gandhi said, “Today, whether we like it or not, the hateful ideology of BJP and RSS has overshadowed the affectionate, loving, and nationalist ideology of Congress Party, we have to accept this.”
He iterated, the ideology of Congress is vibrant, alive but it has been overshadowed.
The former Congress chief claimed, “Our ideology has been overshadowed because we have not propagated it aggressively on our own people.”
Further, the congress MP questioned, “What is the difference between Hindutva and Hinduism, can they be the same thing? If they both are the same then why don’t have the same name?”
He further added, “Obviously different things. Is Hinduism about beating a Sikh or a Muslim? Of course, Hindutva is.”
