On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will present armed services chiefs with made-in-India combat helicopters, drones, and advanced electronic warfare suites at the Rashtra Raksha Samarpan Parv in Jhansi.
“Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,” the 75th anniversary celebrations of the centre, began today with the three-day Rashtra Raksha Samarpan Parv.
According to government officials, the Prime Minister will hand over to the Chief of Air Staff the Light Combat Helicopters designed and developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. Drones and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) will be built by Indian start-ups for the Chief of the Army Staff, and the Chief of the Navy Staff will receive an Advanced Electronic Warfare suite for ships manufactured by the Defense Research and Development Organization.
The government’s defense initiative, Atmanirbhar Bharat, is getting a boost from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s presentation of made-in-India equipment to the heads of the armed forces.
In addition, the Prime Minister will lay the groundwork for a 400 million rupee project at the Jhansi node of the UP Defense Industrial Corridor to manufacture propulsion systems for Anti-Tank Guided Missiles.
PM Modi will be the first member of the National Cadet Corps Alumni Association, which he will establish, as a former cadet. The Prime Minister will also launch an NCC cadet training program for the three wings as part of the NCC facility expansion effort.
