Rajahmundry: The TD registered its first confirmed victory with Butchaiah Chowdary’s win from the Rajahmundry Rural constituency. He contested as the MP from the constituency. Chowdary is a senior leader of the TD and he trounced YSRC’s Chelluboyina Venugopala Krishna with a majority of 57,000 plus votes. The polling officials took up the counting of Rajahmundry Rural constituency votes first and since the first round, Butchaiah Chowdary has been leading.
