9 Hours is set in the backdrop of 1985. Some prisoners escape from jail and plan a series of bank robberies. Their third robbery turns into chaos and left with no choice, the robbers make the bank employees as hostages. A short-tempered cop (Taraka Ratna) enters the scene and tries to handle this situation. How will he save everyone? This is the basic plot of the 9 Hours story.

• The show is based on the book Tommidi Gantalu which is penned by Malladi Venkata Krishna Murthy. Krish has adapted it and set it in the best possible way
• Taraka Ratna leads from the front and it is good to see him in the cop role
• Ravi Varma and Sri Tej get meaty roles and performed well as aggressive gangsters
• The entry and backstories of each character also look sensible
• The hostage drama and the way suspense is built up to look quite good
