According to police, a woman in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district allegedly threw her two daughters into a well before turning the gun on herself after a disagreement with her mother-in-law over a mobile phone, according to reports.
The woman, 33, and her 10-year-old daughter died in the accident. According to the police, the woman’s youngest daughter was able to make it out alive.
In an interview with PTI, Chhatarpur Sub Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Shashank Jain stated that the incident occurred in the village of Parva.
“The woman and her 10-year-old daughter perished in the well, but a four-year-old boy survived after becoming trapped between the bricks of the structure. The woman had gone out to feed her cattle when the call came in. We have received preliminary information that she had a disagreement with her mother-in-law on Saturday over the use of a mobile phone. According to the villagers, the woman’s mother-in-law had taken away her mobile phone, resulting in a fight between the two women.
