Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell married Vini Raman, a Melbourne-based pharmacist, in a South Indian Hindu wedding ceremony in Chennai. Before this, the couple also got married in a Christian ceremony in Australia on 18th March 2024.
The cheerful visuals of the wedding ceremony went viral on social media. In one of the videos, Maxwell and Raman can be seen playfully dancing.
Maxwell and Raman’s wedding invitation card, which was printed in the Tamil language, is also doing rounds on social media.
As per the media reports, the couple had been dating for over five years before their engagement in February 2020, right before the Covid-19 pandemic forced the world into a lockdown.
Glenn Maxwell will soon be joining the RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) team to play in the ongoing IPL (Indian Premier League) 2024 tournament. Due to his wedding, Maxwell missed a match held on Sunday between RCB and Punjab Kings, and in this match, RCB won.
