International Day of Peace is also well-known as World Peace Day. In the year 1981, the United Nations (UN) passed a unanimous resolution that was jointly sponsored by the United Kingdom (UK) and Costa Rica. The date for the peace day September 21 was decided in 2001.

Over the decades, we have seen several occasions where violence destroyed countries and their culture. Along with them, everyone also witnessed the world peace power and what it can achieve.
The day’s theme for this year is ‘Recovering Better for an Equitable and Sustainable World.’ Peace can be made sure by creating an equal, and sustainable world around us.
