International Dog Day: The dogs are man’s best friends and that has proved itself to be true for centuries. There is no doubt that they make for loyal companions and it is only right to set aside a special day for dogs and all that they stand for.

International Dog Day History
International Dog Day was first observed in the year 2004 by animal welfare activist and pet lifestyle expert Colleen Paige. Paige chose August 26 in particular as it was the date that the activist’s family adopted their first dog from the local animal shelter.
