ITC Share Price spike over 7 percent in the morning session reaching a 6-month high on the BSE. Compare to the FMCG index, the stock has gained 10% in the last month.
The stock was trading at Rs 229.30, which is Rs 13.30, or 6.16% up. It has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 233.30 and Rs 216.40 respectively.
The scrip was trading with 4,629,684 shares with an increase of 357.56 percent, compared to its five-day average of 1,011,825 shares.
Last week, CLSA maintained a “buy” call on the stock with the Rs 265/share target.
The chairman and managing director of the company, Sanjiv Puri told shareholders at their 110th Annual General Meeting (AGM) that digital and sustainability are going to be ITC’s focus in the ahead years, and the company continues the exploration of opportunities anchored at the intersection of these two.
