The reasons for the price revisions have not been given by the company. But it is common knowledge that the price revisions will be made to offset manufacturers’ input cost increases. Mahindra Thar is launched in October 2020 first. It got demand also, which resulted in different variants.
The Mahindra company is trying to increase its production, as per the demand for the SUV. Unfortunately, because of this pandemic, supply chain issues and chip shortages happened. Hence, the company is unable to increase the production capacity of the Thar SUV in India.
