While expressing his condolences on the death of Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said today that Puneeth had asked him only a day before his death to release a tourism application for Karnataka.
“On Thursday, he (Puneeth Rajkumar) requested that I create a Karnataka tourism website. On November 1st, I would have launched his app, but he is not available. It’s quite awe-inspiring. The state, the cinema, and the youth will all miss him “As stated by Basavaraj Bommai.
Chief Minister Bommai previously stated that Puneeth Rajkumar’s final rites would be conducted with state honours.
Puneeth passed away on Friday at the age of 46 due to a cardiac arrest. He was admitted to Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru after complaining of chest pain.
Puneeth’s death shocked the entire country, and several prominent actors from the Bollywood and South film industries have expressed their condolences, including Dhanush, Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Anil Kapoor.
Additionally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other prominent politicians expressed their condolences, including Rahul Gandhi, Prakash Javdekar, and Nirmala Sitharaman.
Puneeth, the son of matinee idol Rajkumar, is affectionately referred to by his fans as “Appu” and “Power Star.” Since he was a child, Puneeth has been associated with the silver screen.
Since his acting debut in 2002’s “Appu,” the 46-year-old actor has starred in 29 films, the most recent of which was April’s “Yuvarathnaa.” Among his other notable performances are those in “Raam,” “Hudugaru,” and “Anjani Putra.”
