Gautam Kitchlu and Kajal Aggarwal are expecting their first child. On January 1, Gautam announced the big news on his social media account.
Gautam captioned a photo of Kajal with the words “Here’s looking at you 2024,” along with an emoji of a pregnant lady.
The post quickly went popular on the internet, prompting congratulatory comments from friends and colleagues in the film industry.
On Monday, Kajal and her husband Gautam shared the first sight of their baby bump.
The photo, which was uploaded on Instagram Stories, showed the power couple twinning in black. ‘2024,’ she captioned the photo.
She and Gautam are presently in Goa, where they spent New Year’s Eve with their families.
Kajal had previously shared a photo on New Year’s Day that sparked rumors that she was pregnant. In that photo, Kajal was dressed in a green gown, and her husband Gautam grabbed her from behind, his hands embracing her stomach. Many fans felt that this was done to hide Kajal’s pregnancy. However, Kajal and Gautam remained silent at the time. “So, I close my eyes to old endings,” Kajal simply captioned the photo.
In October 2020, Kajal and Gautam married. They had been friends before the lockdown, but it was only during the lockdown that they fell in love, as Kajal had previously revealed. “We were used to meeting all the time,” Kajal stated in an interview with Vogue in 2020. The other would always show up, whether it was a simple get-together or a huge professional project. So, after a few weeks of not seeing each other—at most, a glance of each other behind a mask at the grocery store—we recognised we wanted to be together.”
