RRR starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan is currently the third highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
On Thursday, the 14th of its release, RRR crossed a mark in its box office earning that holds a lot of value. The movie has crossed Rs. 969.24 crores in global earnings in its first two weeks. It’s not quite the round figure that Rs. 1000 is but significantly more important.
RRR has cemented its place in Indian cine history as the third-grossing film of all time. SS Rajamauli film is behind only Dangal (Rs. 2024 crores) and the director’s own Bahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs. 1810 crores). The gross of these films out. Rajamouli’s movie has also surpassed the total box office collection of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Secret Superstar’.
RRR is a fictional version of the lives of freedom fighters in the pre-independence India era. Although the director’s name was enough, the presence of Alia Bhatt and Ajay
Devgan added to the film’s appeal. It’s one of the biggest films in India, made on a budget of Rs. 300 crores.
