Shaheed Diwas is observed every year in India on 23rd March to mark the death anniversary of the courageous freedom fighters – Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar, and Shivram Rajguru.
On Martyrs’ Day 2024, as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan will conduct Shaheed Diwas in 623 districts by involving many young volunteers.

Shaheed Diwas 2024 is observed across India to acknowledge the bravery and strength shown by the country’s freedom fighters during the freedom struggle.
The three Bravehearts – Bhagath Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev – were sent to jail after they bombed the Central Legislative Assembly in 1929. The trio was sentenced to death on 23rd March 1931.
Even though there is no official holiday announced to observe Shaheed Diwas, many government offices, educational institutions, and other institutes across the country observe this day by conducting various events, debates, competitions., etc.
