The Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates on Saturday chose Sheik Mohamed receptacle Zayed Al Nahyan as the President of the country.
He has supplanted Sheik Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who kicked the bucket at 73 years old on Friday. Mohammed canister Zayed (MbZ), the previous president’s relative, has been the accepted leader of the UAE throughout recent years, especially after Khalifa experienced a stroke in 2014.
“We salute him and promise faithfulness to him as do our people…and the whole nation will follow his authority to greatness,” Dubai ruler Sheik Mohammed canister Rashid al-Maktoum, who is likewise UAE VP and head, said in a Twitter post.

PM Modi took to Twitter to compliment Sheik Mohamed receptacle Zayed Al Nahyan on being chosen as the new President of UAE. He stated, “My all the best to the Ruler of Abu Dhabi H.H. Sheik Mohamed container Zayed Al Nahyan on being chosen as the new President of the UAE. I’m sure that under his dynamic and visionary authority, our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership will keep on extending.”
