The Karnataka Digital Economy Mission of the Government of Karnataka on Friday launched the ‘Beyond Bengaluru Startup Grid’ project to expand the Bangalore-based startup culture and opportunities to the cities of Mangalore, Mysore and Hubli.

The Government of Karnataka hopes to enable start-ups to grow faster by providing network, market opportunities, mentorship and investment opportunities to start-ups in Mangalore, Mysore and Hubli through the project currently announced.
Karnataka Digital Economy Mission
The Karnataka Digital Economy Mission has embarked on an effort to create staff capable of adapting to future needs. The new startup cluster aims to create 5,000 new companies and start-ups, thereby creating 10 lakh jobs and generating $ 10 billion in export trade.
2nd and 3rd grade cities
Many leading and multinational companies in India have decided to set up offices in 2nd and 3rd tier cities in view of the rising city prices.
IBM Corp.
Recently IBM Corp set up a Global Delivery Center in Mysore with 250 employees and Clotach with 300 employees. Similarly, Emeritus has set up an office in Hubli with 150 employees.
Trichy, Coimbatore, Madurai, Salem
If a similar scheme is introduced in Tamil Nadu, more companies and skilled manpower can be created in Trichy, Coimbatore, Madurai and Salem. Similarly there is no shortage of educated and skilled workers in Tamil Nadu so that more employment and business can be created in less time.
