Chennai: The DGP has resolved 938 public petitions received by the police under the ‘First Minister in your constituency’ scheme. Silenthrababu has said.

Tamil Nadu Law and Order DGP Silenthra Babu is paying special attention to these petitions and taking action. He said out of a total of 1,594 petitions received, 938 petitions have been resolved.

Of these petitions, 244 petitions were reported to the Complainant and the concerned department as they need to be acted upon by the court and another department.
Solution
Of the remaining 1,350 petitions, 938 have been heard and resolved till the 14th. The settled petitions include 291 petitions related to payment dispute, 278 petitions related to a property dispute, 70 petitions seeking restraint of illegal activity, 51 petitions for police station services, 58 petitions for family dispute, and 190 petitions for other causes.
In a few days, the inquiry into the 412 pending petitions will be expedited and settled within a few days. Thus, the police DGP. Silenthrababu said in his statement.
Treat people with humanity – DGP Silenthrababu advises police
Chennai: Law and Order DGP of the Tamil Nadu Police Silenthrababu has said that the police should treat the people with humanity. He assured that law and order would be given prominence and action would be taken within 30 days on petitions submitted by the public to the Chief Minister.

Speaking to reporters after taking office, DGP Silenthrababu said action should be taken to prevent crimes in Tamil Nadu.
Sylendrababu thanked Prime Minister for giving him the post. He is in charge of the Tamilnadu police. He ensured to CM that action would be taken on the petitions submitted by the public within 30 days. He also told that the police should behave in a humane manner.
