Tata Punch SUV Features: Finally, Tata Motors has unveiled the Punch in the Indian market. At first, this Indian carmaker had showcased Punch at the Auto Expo 2020, albeit as the H2X concept and all expected that it will hit the market by the end of 2020. Tata Punch is effectively a micro SUV and is a competitor to the likes of Maruthi Suzuki Ignis and Mahindra KUV100 NXT. Other than, Tata Pucnhc price in India, all the remaining are out now. The main thing is that the Punch’s bookings have officially started now for a token amount of Rs. 21000, in India.
Tata Punch is based on the company’s ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) architecture. The Punch has higher ground clearance (187 mm), and more boot space (366-litres) in comparison with the Altroz.
The Punch has a split headlamp design with LED indicators located right under the bonnet. The dual-tone bumper, roof rails, large air intakes with the tri-arrow pattern, side cladding, and 16-inch alloy wheels enhance the SUV-like appeal of the vehicle while the wrap-around tail lights with a tri-arrow LED signature lend to it a modern look.
Tata Punch SUV features a dual-tone interior and a dashboard layout. It is coming with features like a seven-inch Harman touchscreen system with smartphone connectivity, a large TFT display for the semi-digital instrument cluster, steering mounted controls, push-button stop/start, automatic AC, rain-sensing wipers, cooled glove box, automatic headlamps, iRA connectivity suite, etc. The Tata Puch safety features are ABS, EBD, reverse parking sensors, dual front airbags, cornering stability control, brake sway control, etc. Moreover, it will also come with the tyre puncture repair kit as standard. This micro SUV will be available in four variants – Pure, Accomplished, Accomplished, and Creative.
Under the hood of Tata Punch is a 1.2-liter engine that uses Dynapro technology to feed ram air to the engine for better combustion. This develops 85 bhp with 113 Nm of peak torque and will be available with a choice between AMT (automated manual transmission) and a five-speed manual gearbox. Punch also comes with an idle-start and stop feature for improved fuel efficiency.
