Twitter Chief Grievance Officer Appointment: Fill Other Positions Too: Twitter India has appointed an interim chief grievance officer, who is an Indian resident. This appointment was made to comply with the new Indian IT rules. It is going to designate two more executives too. All this is said by the social media giant, Twitter in court today. The appointment comes into effect from 6th July 2024.
Twitter Inc has posted all three job positions and within eight weeks, it is trying to make an employment offer too. The company has also said that as it is willing to comply with IT rules, it has the right to challenge them.
In the court filing company said, “While the company is wishing to bound to 2024 rules, Twitter has right to challenge the validity, legality of the rules .” The court will hear the petition today.
Earlier, Delhi HC tells Twitter to comply with Indian laws, or else trouble has to be faced. HC has asked about the resident Twitter Interim Chief Grievance officer appointment too. The single-judge bench observed that the non-appointment of the Interim Chief Grievance officer is against the laws. The court asked Twitter about the time required for the grievance officer appointment. After Dharmendra Chatur’s resignation, already 15 days are over.
