Amigos Movie Story

Siddharth (Kalyan Ram) lives in Hyderabad. He is fascinated by the doppelgangers (lookalikes) concept. Hence, he keeps searching for his lookalikes, and much to his surprise, he finds two people like him (Manjunath Hegde & Michael). Soon these three meet and Siddharth takes the help of the other two to make Ishika (Ashika Ranganath) loves him. When everything is going well, Siddharth and Manjunath know about the unknown side of Michael. Who is Michael? What is his backstory? forms the base plot of the Amigos movie.

• From the beginning to the end of the movie, Kalyan Ram got a big share of the screen time as he is seen almost in every frame of the movie. His acting was brilliant
• The movie has some interesting moments and the proceedings are also a bit fast in the second hour
• The scenes that come regarding the antagonist and protagonist’s family are well-knitted and engaging
• Ashika Ranganath made a decent debut with this movie in the Tollywood
• Brahmaji evokes a few laughs and Jaya Prakash is decent

• The screenplay is not engaging and more drama could have been created around the core point of the movie to elevate the proceedings
• The movie’s narrative is middling throughout the movie and the first half is boring with slow pacing
• There is nothing exciting in the first half and the interval bang is weak
• The movie is predictable and the manner they showcased the NIA is pretty bad

Ghibran’s music is inferior this time. He should have taken more care regarding the background score to enhance the impact. Soundar Rajan’s cinematography is good and the makers did not compromise on the quality. coming to the editing, the first half needed some heavy corrections. Director Rajendra reddy has done an okayish job with this movie. He was successful in picking up a fascinating concept and casting but the issues in writing played a spoilsport.
