Audi has launched the RS 5 Sportback in India at a starting price of Rs.1.04 crore (ex-showroom, India). The high-performance S5 Sportback will be available in March of this year. The RS 5 is not being sold for the first time in India, but it is being sold before also, and the version launched today is a four-door cup. However, the RS 5 was sold in India. The RS 5 is significantly more expensive than the S5 Sportback because it is imported.
The RS 5 Sportback also features a number of design changes as well as a powerful double turbocharger. The four-door coupe comes with a five-year road warranty and five years of Audi assistance.
The Audi RS 5 has a shape and design similar to the S5 Sportback, with features such as a brilliant black grill, RS patterns on the grill, Matrix LED headlamps with dynamic turn indicators, keyless doors, RS-specific aggressive flashlights, and various alloy wheel designs. The RS 5 is available in Daytona Grey, Sonoma Green and Navarra Blue, Glacier White, Mythos Black, and Tango Red.
The interior of the RS5 is similar to that of the S5 Sportback, but it has aluminium inserts, Alcantara material, and a massage- and memory-function front sports seat.
A 10.1″ MMI interface touchscreen, an Audi 12.3-inch virtual cockpit display, 3D maps, an Audi 10-speaker sound system, flat bottom steering wheel, electrically adaptable memory function front seats, Paddle Shifter, and a variety of safety features including Audi pre-sense, parking assistive, traffic jam adjustable cruise control, and a parkin 360-grade camera.
The RS 5’s two-tourbo, 2.9-liter V6 engine produces 444 bhp and 600 Nm of torque. The motor is linked to an automated eight-speed transmission and the Quattro all-wheel drive system, which includes a differential self-locking centre. In this configuration, the 4-door cylinder speed accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. In addition, the coupe has an RS sports suspension and two RS modes to choose from.
