Force Motors has finally unveiled the next-generation Force Gurkha SUV. The SUV now has an updated design, all-new interiors, and modern features that add to the SUV’s premium quotient. On September 27, the price of the 2024 Force Gurkha SUV will be revealed. It is expected to arrive at dealerships in the first week of October, with deliveries beginning on the auspicious day of Dussehra. The 2024 Force Gurkha retains the same boxy silhouette. It is still very similar to the pre-pre-production version shown at the 2020 Auto Show. The SUV was supposed to be released last year, but it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2024 Force Gurkha SUV is a purpose-built off-road SUV built on a modular architecture platform. It has several elements that are specifically designed for difficult terrains. The SUV now has Gurkha branding on the single-slat grille instead of the F-Logo, giving it a distinct personality. It also has LED Pro Edge headlamps with integrated DRLs and LED fender indicators. New bumpers, fog lights, a new snorkel, a newly designed ‘Shark Gill’ on the fender, a bigger rear windshield, newly designed ORVMs with Khukri engraving, new black plastic cladding, a rear-door mounted spare wheel and LED taillights are all available for the SUV. The new Force Gurkha has dimensions of 4116 mm in length, 1812 mm in width, and 2075 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2400 mm. It will come in five different colors: red, orange, green, grey, and white.
The Force Gurkha has a midnight black interior with dark grey theme upholstery. The SUV is outfitted with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as navigation with true mirroring via USB. It also has a new gear lever and 4X4 lever, a molded floor mat, panoramic side windows, captain seats, and a rear passenger armrest. Tilt and telescopic adjustment, power windows, central locking, speed-sensing door locks, single-piece rear door with wipers, variable intermittent speed front wipers, and other convenience features are available. It has dual airbags, ABS with EBD, a rear parking sensor, a cornering lamp, a one-touch lane change indicator, a tyre pressure monitoring system, Follow-me Home & Lead me to Gurkha, and other safety features.
The new Force Gurkha is powered by a BS6-compliant 2.6-litre diesel engine sourced from Mercedes-Benz. The motor is tuned to produce 91 bhp at 3,200 rpm and 250 Nm of peak torque between 1400 and 2400 RPM. A 5-speed Mercedes G-28 manual gearbox with 4×4 is available as an option.
