Netflix’s ‘Extraction 2’: Netflix’s most successful original movie to date, Extraction is coming back with a sequel. Chris Hemsworth will be returning as Tyler Rake, and filming is already completed.
Sam Hargrave will direct the sequel, along with the Russo Brothers who are also the executive producers of the film. However, the writing credit goes to Joe Russo only.
Production Status of Extraction 2
Extraction was originally scheduled to firm in Sydney, Australia but due to the restriction of Covid-19, production of the film was shifted to Prague, Czech Republic.
Filming of Extraction 2 has come to end on March 19th, 2024, and is now in postproduction.
Extraction 2 Cast
Chris Hemsworth is returning to take over his role as Tyler Rake. Adam Bessa (Mosul) confirmed that he will be returning as Yaz. Actress Ryan Cambell who previously starred in the movie as a radio technician of Nik’s crew will be playing the role of Ruthie now.
Extraction 2 Plot
After overcoming his dreadful wounds from his mission in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Tyler Rake is back in action.
Tasked with the extraction of a family from a Georgian gangster, Rake infiltrates one of the dangerous prisons to save the family. The gangster dies in the heat of the battle and his merciless brother wants to take his brother’s revenge on Tyler Rake.
When is Extraction 2 releasing?
The Gray Man, one of Netflix’s big-budget movies is releasing in the summer which means less pressure on Extraction 2. Also, the movie is still in post-production and we could be waiting for several months before the release. We expect the movie to drop most likely in the other half of 2024.
