Google’s much-awaited I/O 2024 annual developer conference is underway and the company has made various announcements on the first day. The major highlights include the launch of the Pixel 6a, Pixel Buds Pro, Pixel Watch, Android 13, and the teaser for the Pixel Tablet and the Pixel 7 Series.
The main highlight of the launch was the mid-range Pixel 6a smartphone, which is going to launch in the country later this year. Let us have a look at everything that Google has announced at the I/O 2024.
Pixel 6a
Finally, the much-awaited Pixel 6a smartphone has been unveiled. The Pixel 6a features a similar two-tone design as the Pixel 6 Series, giving it a premium look.
The pixel 6a runs on Android 12 out of the box and Google has promised five years of security updates and three years of Android updates for the device. The device features a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED display.
Pixel 6a is powered by the company’s Tensor chipset coupled with 128 GB internal storage and 6 GB RAM.
The device features a 12.2MP primary camera and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera on the backside and an 8MP selfie camera.
The pixel 61 battery capacity is 4,306mAh with 18W charging support.
The Pixel 6A price has been $449 which is approximately ₹34,830 and will be available in Charcoal, Chalk, and Sage color options.
Pixel Watch
Google has also unveiled the Pixel Watch which is the first smartwatch from the company. It runs on Wear OS3 and comes with a circular-domed design with curved glass protection
The Pixel Watch comes with a stainless-steel build and has a tactile crown like the Apple Watch.
The device will be available along with the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro later this year.
